HOW can we do this?

HT - winning 3-0

And even a Craig backflip, it doesn't get better... unfortunately it didn't.

FT - lose 5-3

...

no excuses, really. And I don't see how Simon can be blamed for this, OK maybe Casey and Willo might have started (if fully fit and confident?) but no one can ask for a better first half and it's hard to point to any substitutions changing things.

Except maybe a P Coyne coming on and controlling the midfield. Hmmm, that's *almost* familiar. Except he wore blue.

1) Should have changed the Midfield after the 1st goal as it was clear it was being over-run

2) Should have made a substitution after their 3rd, as we were only left with 9 on the pitch. as it happend Chanderam was bought off soon after, so why wasn't the change made at the first opportunity?

3) He is simply not good enough. He has blagged it for 18 months now, and it's finally clear he has no idea how to manage a team. The players have no respect for him, thats clear in the warm ups etc...

To be honest Dan last nights debacle can only be pointed at one mans feet. I've never in all the years I've been watching football seen a team go 3 goals up and still end up losing by 2 and lets be honest it could and should have been a lot more so dominant were Marlow in the 2nd half.

It was unfortunate that Ryan had to go off near the end of the first half but the tactics in the 2nd half were shocking. I can understand not changing things straight away when it went 3-1 but from then on it was one way traffic, everyone on the sidelines could see what was going to happen, even the Marlow fans couldn't believe the lack of activity or instruction coming from the Windsor dugout.

We wait until they go 4-3 up before deciding that maybe just maybe things might need changing, of course by then it is to late.

The 2nd half reminded me of the Germans and the Normandy landings in 1944, with Rommel begging Hitler to send over reinforcements from Calais only to be told that the "invasion" he was witnessing was just a faint and the real attack would still come at Calais, by the time Hitler did send over vital troops and equipment from the Calais area to Normandy it was too late defeat was inevitable, Last night the fans were Rommel begging our leader to make the vital changes needed to secure victory and Lane was Hitler totally oblivious to the impending defeat that was unfolding before his very eyes!

point 1: we'd dominated the first half with the same players, although Coyney showed how much we miss his play in midfield.

I don't understand how & why we rolled over so tamely but we seemed to stop battling.

point 2 is valid, not sure if that should have been Simon though. I couldn't understand why we were so quick to restart with only 9 men on the pitch - OK, if Chandiram was expected to continue then keep him off while being bandaged, but we should at least have got back to ten before restarting. It would only have needed a word with the ref to stop the clock until we'd had time to check both injured players & see if either could continue, surely this wouldn't be a problem since a club our size doesn't have a huge medical team, and I think the captain would do this rather than the manager?

point 3:

Well, the first half is getting the right team. I'd like to see a midfield enforcer/distributor but otherwise the squad looks good. Defence included, if only all were fit.

The problem is they mainly look good on paper, or in individual play. Sometimes two or three players will look good together and then we score. (e.g. last night Terry twice won good ball and passed well to a striker, who pushed forward, made space then shot and scored).

If it's not the manager's job to get the individuals playing together with tactical skills and some kind of cohesive game plan, then whose job is it...? IMO that's what we're missing.
