NO EXCUSES

its simple really, there can be no excuses. 3-0 up at half time, some great goals and in relative control.

second half was a shambles, they had nothing to lose and wanted it more and totally deserved what they got.in the end 5 goals, could have been more. it was embarressing and what made it worse was the total lack of motivation or change coming form the bench. 4 defeats against the supposedly poorer teams in our league is not good enough and i dont want to hav another dave carroll like season, where the club goes no where.

He's always at Windsor games. Very poor second half and I think Marlow deserved to win. It was amazing to see the manager slag off linemen and opposition manager but not organise the team better.

No subs at 3-2. Willo and Will should have been on to stop the rot.

We have one of the best squads in the league (except Farnborough) yet we play like we have the worst. I know we have a few injuries but that should not be used as an excuse.

Time must be running out for Mr Lane and I can see at the moment that we will be back in this league again next season despite his promises.

The first half was brilliant and Craig showed what a great asset he would be.

At half time Everyone knew that Marlow would have got a rocket up the [****!!****] and would've have come out guns a blazing.

We did step off and bit and Marlow just came at us and got what they deserved.

The annoying thing was Simon just stood on the touch line with no emotion and this just seemed to rub off on the players in the game.

We do have a great team of players even with the injuries with have. It just seems to me there is no motivation or command in games from Simon which is worryiing.

Very unfair to compare the current blagger with Dave Carroll.

Dave Carroll was a football man who had been there and done it. He was manager during a bad time for Windsor and should take the blame for the poor results appropriately; however his mistake, I still believe, was to be too honest and not to BS anyone; and he put in a poor performance at the end of year awards.

This helmet got the job through blagging, and promising totally unrealistic achievements that he could not possibly deliver. The better, and more qualified, candidates were honest with what could be achieved. Well, last season was disappointing and did not come close to what he promised. Anyone who has a clue knew an instant return to a higher league would be very tough, but he promised it. This season is even worse. The group of players are good enough. The manager is tactically inept and despite his BS he has NEVER had the support or respect of the players, that’s why he moved on so many and tried to bring in an almost totally new squad.

He has no football playing or management experience. Face it, he can’t deliver.

The results obtained by average sides in this area, with a good manager, are clear for all to see.

Sorry board, this was a bad choice, act now before further damage is done and next time appoint a football man, not a blagger!

Because there is nothing to say that you are not a person who's applied for the job and both posts are slagging off Simon.

3-0 up at half time. I don't care how [****!!****] you think the manager is the players must have to take some of the blame!

A few weeks ago we were on a great run and then got some injurys and have struggled since. Amazing to see how quick the knifes are drawn!

Still i bet the people slagging Simon off will start singing Simon Lane's red and green army when we start winning again!!

Fickle? Never!

Lane must go. We need to be progressing as a team. We are no better now than last season. I hear the talk of injuries, but that's not good enough.

We are a team of strangers. The players commitment when on the pitch is not in question.

Those who have not wanted to play for Simon Lane have made their feelings clear and have left.

Those who have not made up their minds (if they want to play for Simon Lane) are still here and that lack of "all for one" is obvious.

I sense a lack of respect for Simon Lane. "Yes boss whatever you say" scenario.

Dave Mudge, Keith Scott whoever..it needs to be done now. Sure you can give Lane another 5 games. Lets face it Marlow, Uxbridge, AFC Hayes etc etc were easy games in relation to others.

No, you're wrong. I have always thought he is a blagger, nothing to do with being fickle and recent results.

It's a cop-out that you believe any criticism of him is from another potential candidate.

As I said, if you are happy with things, fine. Personally, I'd like to see Windsor playing at a higher level and he has never demonstrated the ability to assist with that aim, apart, of course, from the ability to talk about it.

So what manager would do well without his 1st choice goalkeeper, 2 centerbacks who've been fantastic all season and Casey? Tell me who and i'll put him forward for the england job! At this level we do not have ready made replacements on the bench that are fully fit. Even more so when we already have players missing!

But i feel i'm fighting a losing battle here. People have made their minds up that it's all one persons fault!

Simon Lane has got together a very strong group of players, if the players do not like him then there must be something they do like about the club to stay here. (Do the players get on well? do they believe they can get out of this division? do they just like the club or the fans?) The problem is we are seeing incredibly erratic displays, highlighted by two vastly contrasting halves on tuesday. the players need to shoulder some of the blame but surely when everyone can see what was needed to ensure we didn't carry on conceding easy goals against Marlow (except simon apparently) there is a need for change. if he produces the results he should stay, if he doesn't, and there is no sign that he will, even with a group of more than capable players then he must go. I do not dislike the guy, but we need what is best for the club. Maybe he needs a good coach as he clearly has got some very good players in place.

I undertsand some of what you are saying Woody but he does have a large enough squad now to cover all positions even with the injuries he does have. We had a perfectly decent side first half which went to pieces the second. Woody you were not there and it really was embarrasing to being absolutely jubiant first half and to have the stuffing knocked out of us the second half was terrible. Simon could not expect not to get any criticism from the fans. I have to agree Simon has the contacts to get decent players in I just think he needs a number too with a bit of coaching and tactical know how to help.

On the injuries many fans have said recently that it must be the training that is causing all these injuries. They are not broken legs or major injuries. They are mainly muscles (From what I have heard!!!) Maybe a change in training is needed. Do we still use the jelly beans smile

Humpty, I have to disagree about the injuries. Only three of our recent injuries, Jon Case, Sam Mazurek and Martin Williams have been due to muscular problems. The others have all been due to knocks taken during games.

Injuries are an issue at the moment but at the same time we have a big enough and good enough squad to cover and you can now probably add to the list Ryan Parsons, Marien Ifura and Joe Chandiram along with current injuries to Steve Butler and Sam Mazurek.

I am a strong believer in us running a reserve side again so at times like this when we are struggling on the injury front we can call on players to make the step up. However, rather than just stand there looking the part (with notebook)why does Lane not Encourage, Holler & shout from the sideline at whatever 11 we have out there. Show a bit of interest. As supporters we are bothered but in all honesty is Simon? Me thinks not

Thats fine Mal I was only going by what I heard. You are one that is going to know the situation with players injuries.

Not only do we have a big enough squad now but I understand we have Brunel University players on our books which we have already see already.

I am fed up with Injuries being banded around as an excuse. Other teams suffer with the same problems at times and manage to scrap out results. It is all to do with communication and motivation and by what I've seen the last few games this is lacking.

Humpty I agree, but even without the Brunel players we still had a big enough squad signed up.

Now will be the interesting time to see what happens in respect of either seeing new players arrive or using the Brunel players to see what they can offer.

Personally for either way can work, we have had a few decent players come from BRunel and hopefully more to follow.

The main thing to concentrate on at the moment is how to turn the season round and start winning again. I am not going to get involved as to who should stay and who should go as it is not my place, but what we need at the moment is as much support as possible and hopefully things will turn out OK.

Do you not think that are winning run had something to do with Dave Anderson being at the club and when he left that run stopped!

Funny that!

I'm never in favour of changing a manager mid season and I would give him till the end of the season. We are not going down but also we are not going up either.

Give him time or you will let the idiots win!

Don't forget Steve McClaren is available!

Amazing !!!

Because you don’t agree with someone they are an idiot.

Is it not stupid to see that something is wrong yet do nothing about it?

Have the bxxxs to make the change now and you give a new manager a chance to create a ‘team’ from the existing players, before any of the players you would like to keep leave to join a ‘better’ team with a ‘better’ team spirit.
