Well said, I'd also have George Purcell down as another player of the season so far.

George definitely has a lot of potential but also still has a lot to learn. He demonstrated that during the Ramsgate game when he basically froze Akinde out by refusing to pass him the ball. He also did the same thing but on a smaller scale on Saturday.

 

Agree George is a good player but he won't be a great player until he learns to be a bit less selfish.

 

Sacha for player of the season without a doubt. I've never seen anyone play with so much passion. Plus you have to have respect for someone who'll headbutt a Millwall player (and get away with it!!)

Sacha certainly epitomises all that most of us appreciate in 'favourite' Fleet players, passionate and total commitment regardless of whether it's an FA cup match or Ramsgate on a cold Tuesday evening Senior Trophy game.

Still gonna be a tough call this year, as McPhee has done brilliantly so far either as full back or wing back, considering he was signed up as a striker.

Personally, I think Hawkins has hardly put a foot wrong in defence this year either, and both Cronin and Long will be in contention if they maintain their form all year.

Just an aside, would the board have been in a position to secure the services of both Bossie and McPhee for the remainder of the season, had they not felt a little more financially secure because of the MyFc deal going ahead?

If only we could get a striker to challenge for player of the year.............................
