I want more out of my experience in football and that of our players, paid or not. And you're kidding yourselves about our budget, a fraction of what you think. It's called a proper attitude and not slinking off on drink fuelled jollies during the season. Whether we win anything or not this season, the players are giving their all and that's good enough for me.

I don't give a hoot what excuses you trot out to justify it, you've cheated on your team-mates, on your manager and on your club. None of them obviously matter a jot when it comes to you having a jolly in the sun with booze and birds. Well done mate, I hope you enjoyed it.

And if you weren't a half decent player I wouldn't bother saying any of this to you. What an effing waste! But that is up to you.

I do understand what you are saying Wader but if the oppurtunity to go on holiday comes along i would not turn it down because of football!

To be fair if it was my money being paid out I would not be happy about people swanning off on hols in the same way that if players didn't perform I would not be dishing out the brown envelopes after the game!

I apologise for getting hot under the collar about this. I see it all as an anathema in football, at any serious level.

 

It is of course up to individuals and their own clubs. I was unable to continue with football at an earlyish age and so I suppose when I see others wasting their fitness and talent it grates badly. You guys don't know how lucky you are to be able to play.

 

Don't waste it while you've still got it chaps, not for a week of hangovers and a few shudders behind the nightclub bins.
