What reason would anyone have for drepressing the figure. It was in everybody's interest for the gate to be as high as possible.


Im just going by what a few regulars were saying after the match - they seemed to think two or three of the stands were fuller than usual. I know it doesnt make sense for anyone to deliberately keep the number lower. There's always a chance of 'human error' though.

I was indeed in the Bar before the game and at half time, and the bar was a bit more crowded than usual but mainly due to the cold weather and not so many drinking outside.

 

Not that my opinion is worth anything (ahhh) but the bar seemed to reflect the crowd of 1055......I base this on a lot of experience !! If the bar takings were up 50%.....then a group of people must have been drinking whole bottles of scotch !!

 

I did not go in after the game so cannot comment on that part of the day....was there a function in the evening ??

I had an extra pint than usual as I got there early thinking I would beat the hordes but this turned out not the be the case.

 

Maybe it was that?

 

Loving the fact that they think that as approx 100-150, people, they can raise the profits of the bar 50%.

 

Nothing to do with 800 odd true Fleet fans having another cheeky pint or two then?

I suppose Fleet management could place independent bean counters just inside the turnstyle and main gate areas if they feel it necessary, and then compare notes to get the full picture. I'm pretty sure they would tally.

 

Let us not forget that the Swanscombe end was practically empty of fans guys.

"The club have just told me the takings at the Supporters Club bar on Saturday were up 50%. Not quite sure what to make of this news"

 

Clearly the club phoned Will Brooks to pass on the information to him.

Well we played Yeovil away on the 13th and lost 5-1 and Gillingham away on the 17th and drew 0-0, I really don't see your point.


I'd expect our bar takings to be a lot more than 50% on a KSC game.
