That's true. They're having another good season in Conference South. Former Canvey loanee Greg Pearson plays for them.

 

Nothing against Stortford but been there a few times so it's a case of 'seen it, done it'. Would have prefered going somewhere different.

 

If we did have to play a Conference South side I'd have prefered going somewhere like Dorchester or Lewes.

 

Neverthless it's only about an hour up the road so we should take plenty of support.

Checking their website Roy Essandoh is still there. They also have ex Canvey player Tom Williamson.

It seemed to be Lunan on Saturday although he isn't necessarily the club captain.

It's Paul, apparently he was out injured Saturday.

I'm not too fussed. It would have been nice to get a Football League team in waiting, but I've never been to Bishop's Stortford's ground and we won't be playing them in the league any time soon.

They're almost exactly two divisions above us, so it'll be interesting to see how well we play.
