20 Team Premier

What are your thoughts on reducing the league to 20 teams, as some people are suggesting the FA are going to enforce next season on step five league's.

What do the players say ? Do they fancy 4 less matches and 4 more training sessions.

 

I would prefer it to stay at 22.

Does anyone know the reasoning for reducing to 20, I can see the financial reason for staying at 22, but see no reason for reducing to 20

I think it is a combination of things eye. It is the plan the FA have put together, to stop the silliness with clubs playing 3 or 4 games at the end of the season due to cup runs, shocking grounds etc. To stop some of the midweek travelling involved. amongst others.

I think the problem with reducing the amount of games, is that our players will just play extra games elesewhere anyway, so the amount of games will not be reduced, it just will not be for the Combined Counties Premier.

I can confirm that there are no current plans to reduce the Premier Division of the CCL to 20 teams next season.

 

The League is under no pressure from the FA to do so.
