however, love the fact that one of the teams in the Essex Senior are called mauritius sport and pennant. who the hell are they? nice place for a holiday, although the travellign expenses for the team must be high...

Mauritius sport & pennant are a new club formed in the close season and play at Aveley , As far as playing new teams go it was the same for us when we first encountered London APSA who also used to play at Aveley ,I remember an embarrassing cup defeat there 1-0 . Also recollect a cetain Mr Tannoy announcers outrageous performance running the line against them when an official turned his ankle . A cracking 20 yarder into the top corner and he tried to disallow it . The boo's at the end when he walked off , were--- Lets say deserved .

MS&P have been around for about three years and were granted senior status this season

According to my records Mauritius Sports merged with half of Walthamstow Avenue & Pennant at the start of this season. Both sides played in the Middlesex League last season. WA&P played at Town Mead, Waltham Abbey. Walthamstow Avenue have now disappeared off the footballing radar.

Shouldn't be allowed of course. I mean that a side can just get senior status by groundsharing. I include both yourselves and 1893 as well.

The trouble with that opinion is that you might want to change it if/when Brimsdown secure promotion at the end of this season.
