BASIC GUIDE TO FOLLOWING THE FLEET

Recommended Posts

Really great post but missed a couple of things if you want to become a true supporter!

1 - The highlight of the season is when a player manages to hoof the ball ino the tea hut. It shows real class and something that has become "Oh so rare since Paul Lamb left!

2 - The car park behind the open terrace is known as the Hamid Barr Car Park due to his ability to sky at least three shots into it each game. (Including away ones, which took some doing!)

3 - You can discuss at length why Louis Affor is one of the clubs "All Time" heros with us Old Crustys who remember the good old days of the Beezer Homes League.

4 - When you bump into another supporter in Town the conversation is always a slight variation of,

"Did you go on Saturday?"

"Yes, crap wasn't it?"

Yep, how did we manage to get away with that then?" .....etc!

5 - Harry comes to find you for your 50/50 money.

6 - Re above.....And you NEVER win.

7 - Finding out that The Gills have lost again is "an almost sexual" expierience.

8 - You instinctively duck every time the ball hits any of the terracing roofs.

Anyone got any more?
