A fair first half saw Margate play their best in this match and went ahead, sorry do not know who scored, as Dartford struggled a bit to keep up. In fact had it not been for their number 2 they would have shown little up front except for a couple of great chances that should have been put away. Margate played some very slick football at times with last years u18 players doing well.

Second half saw two different teams as Margate struggled, Dartford were the far better side with most of the play in the Gates half, it was only a matter of time before Dartford got the equalizer, which they did. A few half chances came Gates way, however, had Dartford been able to get through Gates strong defence and someone with a dig got the ball Dartford might have gone home with a hat full. 1-1 at full time, a lucky Gate will be happy with a point and a disappointed Darts side will feel they should have won. Had Gates bench been a little adventurous with 15 or 20 to go and changed some tired legs for the quick footed u18 who was asked to join the squad Gate might have got the extra points. All were impressed that the "Hartsdown" was shut for a function. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Well done on the draw, and defence obviously played better than last week.

Heath played, usual standard which kept the Gate in the game. Had a chance at the other end too.

I thought Heath outstanding defender by a mile. Others struggled a bit.

Also, must give credit to Dartford who field U21s...great idea which will be good for their future. We also have a young side and whilst the older sunday leaguers provide the much needed experience, its the youngsters who bode well for the future
