Much improved performance, we played with confidence & width, Stevie V was free to roam & for once our corners were put in the danger area from both Stevie V & Max.

Ozzie run his legs off, both youngsters looked more relaxed & confident & were much better than last week, lets hope we hold on to them & not send them to Cheshunt!!

A great save by Charlie in the first half, Bastian run his heart out, PC making runs not seen since last season, a really great effort by every player, free from the shackles of Rudi & Hammatt we looked positive, relaxed & confident.

Only criticism we looked tired in the last ten minutes, otherwise well done Town, lets keep it going.

Agreed. A very good performance. I wonder whether Ricci would have put away one or two of those chances int he first half? We'll never know but good to see him return. I would like to see a front pairing of Ozzie and Ricci with Hammett leading from midfield. Now that could do some damage. Agree re Bastian. he ran his socks off.

It's all IF ONLY,.......but if only, we could have got that single goal, we would be top of the league.

I thought the long central ball did not help our game today and we looked most dangerous with Bastian's runs down the wing.

Can't wait for next weeks little run out at Darts.

IF other teams win their matches in hand, then we would be further down the table. Let's see if we can be top, or thereabouts come April rather than now.

I know certain players were absent yesterday but I don't think we played as well as we did on Tuesday in the pouring rain. Was Ozzie Foster injured when he went off as I thought he was one of our better players who never stopped running?

Looking at MBruno's clip it was a great save that denied that single goal.

Still nearly all results went according to place on the table.

Getting that stand cover may prove inspirational.

thought bastian was excellent, my player of the year so far. Charlie did well apart from one small flap. Misses bryans probing from central midfield, and without Rudi as well as the second half wore on we didn't look like scoring. glad we didn't concede the sucker punch goal on the break as per usual though.

where is magona? and david hunt for that matter. thought I saw hunt at hillingdon borough a while back.

Yep I would second that about Bast, he has given 100 percent week-in week-out this season and doesn't stop running. Not only does he bring this committment, but he has a lot of ability on the ball and is a serious threat down that left-wing. He was pivotal in setting up what was a very good goal converted by Grieves at Redbridge, great cross!!

Think that he is flourishing in his new role at left-mid as part of a 4-4-2.

I don't think that anyone, in my opinion, is more important to that Town side than Bryan, especially if JC keeps him in the role that he played at Redbridge behind the front two - like to see him in that position looking to orchestrate the play.

Couldn't make it on Saturday as sometimes the other half conjures up this idea of going elsewhere for the weekend bawling - an idea that prevents you from watching your beloved football - an outrage!! wink

However, I am pleased with what I am hearing back from those that went, and reading peoples' opinions on here it was a fairly good performance all round, and a decent point I feel against an in-form Ware side at present.

Looking forward to Dartford - although their fans are a little scary from what I remember. Beer on the terraces at Gravesend and Northfleet and all that shocked

Giving an honest and truthfull opinion about how a player is peforming(good or bad),from one week to the next, is not fickle. Its called, telling it like it is.

Bryan may now well deserve a regular start.Whether that is down to improved perfomances and consistancy.Finding a better position as an attacking midfielder.Or simply because the rest of the squad have got worse (making him seem more valuable to the squad),is a matter of opinion. For me,he does (on current form)deserve his place in the starting line-up.

i don't think many people would disagree that last season about this time, he was off form in a main striker role, and we suffered for not changing it. full credit to him though, this season he has been superb, adn is a big part of the reason we are in such a good position. that is the sign of a quality player.

I must be missing something, seriously, apart from the odd game like Redbridge last week (which I missed) Ive not noticed any change in the two & half seasons he has been with us, always gives 100% and runs his heart out, but an accomplished striker? Ive never seen evidence of it, his record at other clubs especially Hemel speaks for itself & proves he was, but in a Town shirt?

Also believe he is at times too theatrical when going down under a challenge.

Lets hope he is allowed to continue in the supporting role & see what happens.

Just for the record, my point is not that I don't agree that Bryan went through a bad bit of form and that people were wrong to comment on this and question his selection etc, but the fact that the same moany old gits who were slagging him off from the sidelines during the games back then are now singing his praises from what I hear at the matches.

A lot of supporters don't get behind players when they are in a bit of a rut, they just lay into them even further, and they seem to have gone quiet.
