Thank you to all the long-time Fleet supporters that made my Saturday at Stonebridge so fun and memorable. Having the journo take my glamour shots was nice, and I hope it gets the Fleet and MyFC some good press in the most prestigious paper in America (the NY Times). But what was nicer was seeing a win and soaking in the experience. I hope the deal goes through, and I plan to come back to Stonebridge even if it doesn't.

 

I know there are a lot of people you are nervous about MyFC and what it may do to the club you've supported for years. And I'd be lying if I told you I knew how it'd turn out. And yes, there is a contingent of pimply-faced video gamers in the project. But by and large, the members of MyFC are not the "plastic", corporate fakes that people fear, but real live flesh-and-blood people interested in trying something new to revitlize a game that has gotten away from its roots and its fans, and some of them are even willing to put up with the appalling lack of prawn sandwiches at Fleet matches (kidding . . .).

 

So, thanks for having me and hope to be back soon.

Actually mate these are the people I fear. Someone that has got no experience of running a football club is suddenly running my club, oh and just to make things even better he doesn't care if it doesn't work because it's not his f!cking club!

I think you misinterpreted my point, which is that if the deal goes through (and maybe even if it doesn't), the Fleet will be our club for a lot of us on there. I know that is hard to believe, and that we can't possibly have the dedication of lifelong fans, but that doesn't mean we see the team as a lark and a plaything. How about you give us the benefit of the doubt before assuming the worst?

It is a necessary requirement as a Fleet fan to fear the worst but how can anyone do anything different when it comes to this? I hope this all works out and I'll welcome any MyFC member, as you will have seen both on here and on the MyFC forum I have been very helpful but can you lot please stop saying to us "oh just get used to it and stop being so scared". This "experiment", even you have to admit that's what it is, may work but then it also may not. Stop patronising us.
