"us" & "we".........

Who are "you" ? You are not "us" !!

You're just some punter who has paid £35......don't come the old "life long fan" bit mate !! Many true fans have paid more in than that over the years....I suppose that counts for b*gger all now !!

That's progress I suppose ? NOT

Tough!

Unlike many people who come onto this forum, I happen to care about the club that I have followed for over 43 seasons. As such I have every right to air my views about the MyFC farce and as I said previously anyone who thinks todays team/performance was better than many seasons in the past have very short memories or are deluded.

In many ways todays game reminded me of those horrendously cold nights watching the 'Fleet play games in the old Kent Floodlight Cup against the likes of Canterbury City, Grays Athletic and Hastings United. Small crowd, very little atmosphere and poor football on the pitch!

I can assure you that is one thing that won't happen!

Unless of course the MyFc thought police takeover this forum?

I have to agree with John. I've been following the 'fleet for some 37 years now and indeed some of those Southern League days were pretty good; highly entertaining football and well worth watching. Just recently some of the games have been a bit dire to say the least! Forest Green last time out and the first half today were hardly classic football were they! I can't help feeling when a good teams turns up who are on the top of their form we're going to get hammered if our current performances persist.

John. You are moaning about MyFC's involvement. If you are opposed to this, as you obviously are, then fair enough, have your say, no-one will stop you and nor should they.

But, do not hold a grudge against a group of people who want to improve the profile of the club, put it on the map, make it financially secure, and then moan about 'small crowds'!

These 'small crowds' which you obviously have a problem with, as do I, are the kind of small crowds that without MyFC's involvement, will see us ultimately playing 'against the likes of Canterbury City, Grays Athletic and Hastings United' in a League game. How would you feel then? The club you 'cared about' for 43 years, languishing many leagues below, with 300 through the gates for league games, just because you cared so much about them you couldn't swallow that little bit of pride to see them hold their own at the pinnacle of non-league football and even prosper as a league team?

If you don't want MyFC's involvement, do not start moaning about playing Hastings United in front of small crowds, because from where I'm sitting, it's one or the other.

Stafford were hardly at the top of their game, and even if they were, they would hardly pose much of a threat. But am I the only one who saw us pin them in their area for long spells of the game with a varied passing range? Am I the only one who saw a few players use some clever footwork to evade a defender? Am I the only one who saw the one-touch passing on both wings buy us space to attack? I was frustrated at times, but on the whole I thought we were playing some very good stuff today. I can't remember the Southern League days, but since we've been in the Conference I have seen games which have kept me on the edge of my seat for the whole 90, and I have seen players who have been worth the entrance fee just to see them in action. I would instantly dismiss any claim that this Ebbsfleet team is not entertaining!

I don't remember us getting small crowds of over a thousand against Grays in the Kent Floodlight Cup, but it was a long time ago.

Whatever your feelings abut MyFC and the name change and losing to Exeter John surely you enjoyed Georges goal, and coming back from a goal down with ten men to win it must have cheered you up a bit.

And what makes you think that the farce with MyFc is going to make the slightest difference, it just might do this season. But what about next season, when the MyFc cyber-fans get hacked off that they couldn't vote on every little day to day event at the club, so don't pay-up next seasons £35, directors with no control, having signed over all control of the club to a website with very possibly far fewer 'members' in the second year and lets assume that the club had been able to sign one or two players this coming transfer window, incidently probably at a far inflated cost as a result of the club being perceived as now being 'wealthy', then being left with players on contracts that the club can no longer afford.

Oh! can I also point out that Canterbury City and Hastings United are no longer in existence and Grays Athletic are currently in the same league as the 'Fleet.

From where I was standing, yes you probably are!

I say again - a poor side against a 'pub' side.

As a cyber-twat who flew in from the US to take in today's match from the terraces at Stonebridge, I very much enjoyed watching the Fleet garner 3 points today. Not the cleanest played match, but quality showed when it mattered on two nice strikes, and the Fleet probably had possession about 65% of the time or so, which isn't bad.

And yes, I was hollering throughout the match, probably with inappropriate Americanisms, but with some vigor.

And yes, yes, it was freezing, but luckily my G&N scarf kept me warm.

mr genius...I am most concerned about the signature that you are using...not only is it in the same illiterate mode as roll as opposed to role but it is also indicative of cruelty to animals.....perhaps you could see your way clear to changing it before the grays branch of the rspca knock on your door...

thanx... doggy

Dear Unc

I know my rolls from my roles, I'll have you know - well I ought to, I teach English when I've got my sensible hat on. If you ever catch me out, it will be an excess of ale or red wine that's to blame, not illiteracy.

As for my signature, that was coined in the early days of my cyber existence when my avatar was a very fetching looking Eric Cartman. (You may recall that for young Mr Cartman everything either kicked or sucked ass & I didn't think that "Let's go out there & suck some ass" really did the business as a signature.) Anyway, I cannot change it now (Grays branch of the RSPCA notwithstanding) because my moniker is now too long for the current regs & all editing fails to stick.

Next time you think about coming to watch us, please turn thought into deed. If everybody who thought about it but didn't, did, we'd add a good couple of hundred to the gate.

I was standing in front of you. Firstly you are not a cyber twat. A little short maybe (that was a joke) especially when having your picture taken by the journo. I hope you enjoyed yourself. It looked like you was.
