That might tell you more about the majority of fans than any amount of posts on this forum.

They probably not used to being out doors away from their computers. Bless 'em.

When I posted my statement, the one post about racism hadn't yet appeared on MyFC. I've read his statement and even he says he'll be back--with his family. He was just disappointed, first with the racist epithet, and second that the steward was apparently intimidated by the abuser.

Disappointed? He should be more than that! There is no excuse EVER for racism, and as for the intimidation - the Club needs to seriously look into the stewarding after yet another issue involving them

You have a lifetime of experience in NL football, I'll not forget that, but I'll never accept that such behavior is ever acceptable. Fleet supporters have even posted here that racism is rare and not welcome.

Calling someone a "nigger" is not an "ethnic viewpoint." It's pathetic.

I'm glad, however, to hear that it's not acceptable to Fleet supporters and that it's a rare occurrence.

bit of a gobbleygook post but I'll try to unravel it....

a lifetime in football...not just non league but don't let that sway you......

there is of course racism in higher league football all over the world...more prevailant on the european mainland than here but still enough here to be heartily condemned.....NL however is a different kettle of fish...yes there are pockets of idiots that turn up for publicised games looking for their 15 minutes of fame.....yes there will always be abuse aimed at refs and opposing players.....it won't change dickie....it won't change and when the brave new conquistadors understand that they will leave the moonies and go back to football manager.....its a lot safer behind the screen than on the terraces...

I do believe however that many genuine myfc will stay with ebbs and become good supporters...I also believe that the lack of transparency with regard to the current deal between the shareholders... brooks and his pet liquidator fiddy will continue to cause dissent amongst the real ebbs fans......it doesn't take a rocket scientists to work it all out....the property development I mean... grin

Bit of an over-reaction by the Ref I think.

What about George's goal? Stafford's manager ranted non stop until the end about it being offside & most of the article in today's NLP is taken up by this sad man's bleating. I never suspected that he might be off - what does the video show?

EC

Can't tell from my angle on the half-way line as the ball was played long by Luke Moore tight to the near touchline from well inside his own half, so I was following the ball and George therefore wasn't in the picture when it was played to him.
I would have needed to be filming on wide angle from the other side of the ground half-way between the half-way line and the Stafford penalty area for the Stafford Manager to have footage proving the officials got it wrong.

I was told not to be pessimistic with my 1,100 prediction - however, I wasn't too far away was I ?!

Like I said on Friday - everyone please stop believing the hype

In reality, the baulk of the MFC.com people thought they were going to buy Leeds United or the like and ended up with us !

A expression along the lines of "You ever been conned" springs to mind LOL - At least it only cost them £35, it costs me £13 every week for 21 home games !

You have to smile don't you!
