Browne ready to quit

Why wait until the end of the season. His heart is clearly not in the job, has not been for some time now and does no favours for either his career or for the club. Must say I welcome this news and didn't expect to see it happen.

Well if we get promoted i think he will change his mind again, everyone remember that the papers are not always correct.Any thoughts of who could take his place?? I can just see it now "Andy Deaner Takes Charge Of Slough Town" You never know he might have a great managerial brain??!!

Any more tactical masterstrokes like last night's substitution, and we're going to miss promotion by a mile. Yes it was an injury/flu/suspension affected team, but we looked ok early in the second half, with them causing us little threat and a couple of half decent chances. Why tinker with the defence in a situation like that? If he wanted a bit more threat up front why not swap Bartley for Deaner, and give Boot a break from struggling alone up front? It clearly unsettled the defence, and deprived us of Wilko's work in midfield.

But what do I know, I only pay to watch the game and am not party to the Steve Browne masterplan.

Not sure I believe this yet, but if true go now Mr Browne, we will have a collection on Saturday for your parting gift......

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Good news at last, but as Gary said we've been here before only for Browne to come back---as I recall he said it was bcos so many people asked him to!!!!

I suppose this way it does allow plenty of time to look for a replacement, but I can't really rejoice until he's gone.

I know this is very odd but having read that article i begin to wonder who might take us over!? This probably wont go down too well but if you look where we are in the league it aint that bad- although we should be at the top maybe the next manager we get could be worse- dont get me wrong i hate browne as much as the next Slough supporter but im really worried as to who, if anybody? will become the new manager. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Well one thing is deffo.............no other club would tout him around as their new manager..........A new manager will have to be paid?..........Potless Deaner will take the economical route and talk Browne around, Deaners intentions are loud and clear, he is not ambitious, practical, or constructive, his history with football clubs tells us that!

The other thing is, *IF* Browne does leave, who is going to want to work with Deaner? Forcing selections to have his son pay, ir-regular payments of players and staff.

So many people are aware of this within the non-league scene that they would be very wary, and rightfully so, of joining a club being run in the way ours is.

keep cool rebs..you actually don't want a new manager at this time of the season surely...you are still well in it and you're recent form has actually been good over the past six weeks...stick with it until May...my guess is you will chase us all the way....

the summers always the time to sort out the problems...

by the way...if you want the ol' uncle you'd better be quick...I understand that the Camels have aleady approached him to take over there next season...he he he....its the urchinettes that they're really after you know...the ol' uncles got 'em all on contracts....!!!
