This is absolutely true - also some owners maight have been asking substantially more than the club was worth in financial terms. Despite this, negotiations had progressed with seven clubs with EUFC becoming the deal maker a couple of weeks ago.

they will buy the club the owners of myfc will make sh1t loads of profits, the voting scheme will go tits up, the management won;t put up with it, they will leave , the club will go belly up, the shares will be sold.fleet will end up like hornchuch...moneyless....its one big gamble to shed the club of its debts.i honestly hope im wrong and we go on to bigger and better things but im afraid at the mo, i can only see a long hard fight ahead..and this has disaster written all over it.

Having read the various documents - there is no clause like that smile

There is no clause like that in the paperwork - however if (when the deal is completed and the Society management system is fully in place) you wish, as a member of MyFC, to propose an amendment to the rules of the society giving the Supporters Trust first option to buy the shares should they need to be sold, then I will second it smile

Actually, I don't mind lampoon style comments - I use them myself occasionally. I used one in my original response to you - however, it seemed to touch a nerve with you smile But then, that style of posting often does lead to inflammatory responses, doesn't it?

IMO, there has been enough misinformation and misapprehension on these boards and often lampoon style posts will reinforce stereo-typical misapprehensions. In the long run, they don't really help anyone, they just keep the post temperatures higher smile

If, for whatever reason, members of myfc leave in the thousands, what number left would make the whole idea untenable?

If only a thousand remain, that still gives the club a decent amount of cash to make up for any shortfall in gate revenue.

The idea then would still be viable -

It wasn't so long ago G&N fans were shouting because the club changed names without your consultation -

So, should myfc numbers decline, surely this is a chance for you regular fans to take back the club yourself -

Most of you already give the club a load more than 35 quid a year by attenting games, social events, club bar etc -

Simply join myfc and get a bigger say in what goes on -

Or give 35 quid to the Fleet Trust! Then Lord it over the new owners, that you have more of a stake in their Club than they do!! laugh

I am yet to be convinced as to how much say one £35 boy will have under the proposed new regime.
