Memories for Romford fans !

Recommended Posts

Whilst trawling through some very old tapes tonight , I came across a recording of a TV programme called " First Letter First" hosted by "he of the teeth ", Don McLean in 1993 and one of the contestants was Paul Krisman of Ilford who said that his club, Romford, had " been in the wilderness for 14 years " and were now playing in the Essex Senior League ...he was beaten by a guy from East Kilbride who won a state of the art ( for the time ) electronic translator..... heady stuff !

I remember watching that at the time. Paul was a one season wonder at Romford, he was a sort of upmarket Steve Gardener. If you recall Mr Chair Paul was our Secretary. He had no historical conection with the Boro then vanished after our first season never to be seen again.
