Another disappointing result, scoring is beginning to become a problem as we haven't scored in 3 games, although it's been a problem all season.

What was the team and attendance and what was the preformance like?

Lets hope we can do the double over Basingstoke and start scoring a few more goals.

Come on you Blues.

Scoring is a lot of a problem at the moment!

Struggled to create any chances of note - Richard Graham had our best effort late on when he forced the keeper to make a save. Bright spots were (again) the performances of some of the youngsters with James Alexander, Snowsill, Savidge and Merritt all making good contributions.

Team

JJ, Williams, Kerrigan, Adedeji, Penn, Savidge, R.Graham, Douglas (Alexander ht), Ansell, Snowsill (Merritt) Wallace

yes mark graham has joined canvey for nothing.

a game low on quality 0-0 sums it up adequately. agree with simon that the youngsters were the better performers on the night. unfortunately unless the fairy godmother turns up with a cartload of cash it seems that this is what we have to look forward to next season. the senior players need to pull their fingers out and start playing for the shirt like the youngsters are at the mom. i think calder is doing ok considering what he has to work with.

As you now know we signed Mark Graham last night from you guys. But could you tell me what side he plays on? Right, left, both?

Mark Graham plays on both sides.

I don't particularly understand what's going on at the moment. Borg said he left to save the club money, but Moore says they had enough to pay him until the end of the season and Borg said he left so the club wouldn't have to get rid of any more players and a few days later another player has left.

i think u will find that one of the people who has committed money to the club in the past has decided not to put any more in. this coupled with the well chronicled problems regarding stacey and attendances means that we are having to try and exist "unsubsidised". this is clearly going to be very difficult.

i believe mark graham went as it was felt by some people that his performances did not match the high wages he was being paid and in any case the wages he was being paid were too much given the clubs current plight.

it looks to me as if Bas Vegas doesnt happen the club will struggle big time

how much was m. graham being payed

ahh well at least this gives the younger players more of a chance of playing first team which means they will become better players and faster

also the younger players are the ones putting the effort at the moment

i hope the current player sales wont led to the club struggling to finish in the top 14 next year thus causing the club to miss out on being in the conference south

I feel sorry for Gary Calder. With the best respect to the players turning out for him at the mo, he hasn't really got a squad to work on now.

Shame really. We had so many hopes for the season in August and now.......same as last year. I don't wish to make a comment as to what has gone wrong but I feel that as supporters we have gotta get behind the club and the team and stop this back biting. There will be time enough at the close season to discuss what went wrong and how to put it right. For now, those of us who have remained loyal and keep turning up should pull together and get behind Rod, Gary and the players for the last few games.
