Yesterday I saw another three points slip slowly (or should I say quickly?!) from our grasp. I know we have enough points to survive etc but the actual footbal we are witnessing is pretty poor.

The passino we had before the suspension has gone and the problems now on the terraces, I think, stopped a lot of the atmosphere yesterday that is normally created.
As regards to the game, woud everyone have given Moran MOTM?
Talking of awards, dont forget to go to the lcub shop on Tuesday and vote for your Player of the Season.

I have to say Trevor I don't always agree with your views and opinions but on this occasion you are 100% right. I thought the players were supposed to be playing for contracts for next season. Well you would never have known it. Some players are plainly going through the motions whilst others are just not good enough and, as you say, the on field discipline is non existent. Only Martin, Moran, Nabil and Wilmot, I felt, emerged from yesterday's game with any credit.

Absolutely gutless, I'm afraid... A dreadful performance, a poor atmosphere and a complete waste of money. The bottom line of any football club is not what happens off the pitch or on the terraces, but what happens on it. How can anybody expect the crowds to go up when, week after week, when we have to put up with that sort of display?
The biggest single reason why people turn out to watch a team is either because a match is an "event" of some sort (a local derby, a Boxing Day fixture, a top of the table/relegation fixture etc), or because a side is consistently successful. At the moment, we haven't had a "big" home match since Forest Green three years ago, and as for having a succesful side... on Tuesday night, it was fair enough to say that were were outplayed and outfought by a better, stronger side - but there are no excuses for being beaten by a side of such staggering mediocrity. Personally, I'm sick to the back teeth with the on-pitch indiscipline (YET another player sent off for an act of petulance) and the dull as ditchwater long-ball game. We used to be different - all the other Saints team that I can remember played (or at least tried to play) attractive passing football. As for this current lot, though... they're just another very average non-league team.

Don't worry about not having a big game for a while, you've got Aylesbury next season ;-) Thanks for the kind words some fans have left on our message board.
