We're about to enter the silly season!
Just what do I mean by my heading?
Well the clock changes this weekend, meaning the evenings games will start throughout the Cornish football world, and with this will come a handful of scorelines each week that will somehow defy the logic of the season league form so far!
In certain places, players will be turning out for other clubs than their usual, boosting the normal line-up and with it making a difference to the result on some occasions.
Is this fair? Probably not, but it's all within the rules!
What happens in other counties and leagues? The same presumably. It would be good to hear from readers.
Meanwhile, I'm probably off to Hayle v Camelford tomorrow in the SWPL Division One West. While Hayle have barely a handful of games left, their opposition are only entering the second half of their league fixtures. Some run-in to follow, and promotion or not? It's the age old question : Points in the bag or games in hand - which would you prefer?
