Canvey Island went into this afternoon’s fixture at the Brockwell Stadium determined to prove that their disappointing showing against Wealdstone midweek was just a blip in their bid to secure a playoff spot.

Over previous seasons Canvey Island have learnt that teams like Harrow Borough are the draw specialists of the Ryman League; bobbing around mid-table, going no-where and one of the least attractive fixtures of the season.
Having said that, Canvey brought their A-game into this fixture; still riding high from their last gasp win this past Saturday and produced a match winning display to entertain the 182 in attendance.
